New Book on the Way!

Book 5 in the Chilton Crosse series has officially entered the editing phase (and a book cover is on the way)! 

 

I'll update this page with a release date, whenever I get one.

I can't wait to introduce readers to these new characters -- Chelsea and Luka. They're new to the series, but they have a strong history with the village of Chilton Crosse (and with each other).

Here's a little sneak peek into my 2021:  I plan to write Book 3 this summer, and Book 5 (in the Chilton Crosse series) is completed and waiting in my publisher's queue.  I'm hoping the book will be released sometime this year.

It's Book 2 in my new Morgan's Grove series, set in a small Texas town.  

 

This one is special to me---it highlights my love for books. The main character is a librarian who works in a gorgeous library, where she hosts book clubs and children's readings. The minor characters of Book 1 are still around, plus some new ones (including a handsome/shy architect Chaynie used to know, years ago, in high school).

New Book Series!

I have good news to share!  For the past two years, I've been quietly working on a brand-new series.  This one is set in Texas -- a fictional town called Morgan's Grove.  The books will be a bit lighter and shorter than my Chilton Crosse books (think: Hallmarky, feel-good, super-cozy).  

 

Book 1 is tentatively titled LOVE STARTS HERE. 

My publisher, Red Adept, is on board!  Book 1 will hopefully be released sometime in 2020.  I'll still be working on the Chilton Crosse series (in fact, Book 5 is already in my publisher's editing queue).

It's the 4th book in my Chilton Crosse series, but it's a standalone with a new main character (no requirement to read Books 1-3).

BOOK 5 - Completed!

Look what I just typed! 

After well over a year of brainstorming and writing, 386 pages later, the rough draft of Book 5 is complete!

Next, I'll read over and edit it (more than once), conduct some additional research, then offer it to my publisher. No idea when the book will be released -- too early to tell. But let's hope it's sometime in 2020!

Thanks to everyone for their patience while I worked on this book.  I've got a full-time teaching job that keeps me busy, so I can only write on the occasional weekends, holidays, and summer!  

I'll post updates here as we get closer to the publishing process.

I Officially Have "A Collection!"

My publisher has just announced the upcoming release date of March 26th for "The Chilton Crosse Collection."  I'm thrilled!  This collection will contain the first three novels in my series.

My favorite part about this announcement is the "#1" in the title, which indicates there are MORE to come.  I'm currently hard at work on Book 5 in the series, and I have strong ideas for others.

So, Top Shelf Magazine runs a literary contest each year, and PAINTING THE MOON won first place for women's fiction.  I'm floored!  How wonderful!

In other news, I'm hard at work on Book 5 in the Chilton Crosse series.  It introduces readers to two new characters who have strong ties to the village (and to each other!).  I'm hoping the book will be released in late 2019, but there's no firm timeline on it yet.  I'll be sure to post updates on this page.
